The Lucas County Arts Council

The Lucas County Arts Council (LCAC) was formed in 1993.  Since that time, the members of the LCAC have worked diligently to promote the arts in Lucas County.  They have hosted classes and festivals that promote both performing and visual arts.  They have collaborated with other organizations to host musicians and artists that have offered opportunities and enrichment to all Lucas County residents.  In September 2000, the LCAC purchased the CB&Q Freight House and in July of 2002, the LCAC received the Dual Gables House as a donation. The restoration on both buildings is complete and they are being used as places to host classes, festivals, and events and display historical information.  The buildings are also available to the public on a daily rental basis for wedding, reunions, classes, meetings and other functions. To find out more about rental call 641-203-1869.
